We record stair widths, door swings, and elevator cabins on Schuttershofstraat surveys before visiting dealers. A beautiful armoire that fails the first landing wastes everyone’s Saturday.
Clients receive a shortlist with depth, height, and recommended room for each candidate so comparison stays practical rather than wishful.
Where we look in Flanders and beyond
Kloosterstraat and nearby Antwerp dealers remain our first stop for Belgian oak and provincial French stock. When a brief needs a rarer scale, we check Ghent, Mechelen, and Lille weekend markets with your dimensions in hand.
Online listings are verified with dealer photos of backs, undersides, and hardware — we do not buy from a single hero image.
Condition filters we apply
Active woodworm, unstable joints, and replaced tops without disclosure are automatic declines. Honest wear, faded veneer, and minor fills are acceptable when the structure is sound.
We note previous repairs so you know what you are buying, and we flag pieces that need workshop time before placement.
Budget bands for furniture itself
Studio sourcing fees start at €680 for a focused one-room hunt. The furniture budget is separate and usually sits between €1,200 and €6,500 for a coherent set of three to six pieces, depending on timber and rarity.
We never pad invoices with mystery mark-ups; dealer receipts stay visible to the client.
Delivery through Antwerp streets
One-way lanes near Zurenborg and tight courts by the harbour need timed vans and sometimes a second pair of hands on the stair. We coordinate those windows with dealers and building managers.
If a piece cannot clear the route, we stop before payment — the measure sheet is the contract with reality.
